Project 1 -The crow

- creates the room that is going to contain the curios it gives a sense of staging and setting to the story whether those things will end up being part of the three objects of art in the curiosity box is yet uncertain when I began this process I was thinking monotonally but I see in colour as the story comes to life my natural tendency has led me there straight away but I want to kick back against that and break it down as I go on

Externally = the makeup bag was an 1970s burgundy that had seen slightly better days almost pink I really wanted a raw umber body something that suggested some age but the shoe Polish which I chose to colour it with only enhanced the burgundy hue so then I sharpie markered the external and highlighted in black the leatherette sections still not happy then black polished the whole case to a point which now I'm happy with it as a jumping off point for future work

Internally - environment to house my stories many layers the internal lid is going to be I reworked multimedium artwork that will become a cartographic view of the shipwreck coast of southwestern area of Victoria as I imagined it was when it was untouched and pristine. Behind the shipwreck coast going to be a whaling scene to give reference to the old scrimshaw carving the sides of the internal are going to be colored pastures and paddocks the colors of today surrounding you from all sides maybe a wind farm windmill
